Purchasing our plans

Any of our pre-designed floor plans may be purchased separately on-line or by calling our head office. In buying our floor plans the following CAD drawings and architectural documentation will be supplied as part of your design license package:
  • Floor plans 1:100 scale
  • Elevations 1:100 scale
  • Sections 1:100 scale
  • Typical construction details
  • Typical building specification
These drawings may be used after purchase by your draftsperson to allow adaptation of the building to your land, and to prepare the necessary documentation for the relative building approvals. All plans are sold according to our Terms & Conditions.

Multi-license package: For developers wishing to purchase plans for use in multiple allotments or subdivisions the following rates will apply:
1-5 allotments - 25% per allotment
5-10 allotments - 50% per allotment

Selecting the best plan orientation for your site

The key to the successful adoption of energy efficient design principles for passive heating and cooling revolves around the unique application of solar sectors.

To achieve the best thermal performance, our houses are designed to orient the living areas towards north. As each site is different, we have a different solar sector for each way north is located on your site.

To locate the solar sector of your land use the diagram provided and follow these simple steps:
1. Stand with a compass at the road frontage and face towards the site.
2. Note the direction of north in relation to your front and rear boundaries.
3. Cross reference the direction of north with the solar sector diagram.
4. The corresponding solar sector number then applies to our floor plans e.g. S1 (sector 1) V220 (220 m2).

Some plans may be adapted to various solar sectors and are given a range e.g. S1-8 V220, meaning that the floor plan can be used in both Solar Sector 1 and or Solar Sector 8. If you are in doubt, please contact our staff to assist in determining the best floor plan for your site. We can also help with modifying any plan to suit your orientation or site layout.

*Please also note that in the northern hemisphere, the key orientation is reversed to be south facing.

Alternative architectural services

If you require the additional expertise of the Sanctum Design team, we can provide all necessary architectural documentation and co-ordinate the approvals processes through to commencement of construction. We can also arrange for our builders to provide you with a detailed estimation of costs and deliver your new home in a "turn key" solution.
